Day 01. Arrive to Samdrup Jongkhar via Guwahati

Our guide will receive you at Guwahati Airport with Indian Car and driver and transfer to Samdrup Jongkhar. The Indian car and driver’s duty will finsh their duty at hotel. This same car and driver may come to drop our guest at Guwahati airport.

Day 02. Samdrup Jongkhar – Mongar

After our breakfast, we will drive to Trashigang. En-route we will visit to Khaling Handloom Center and explore and learn the art of weaving culture in Bhutan and at Kalung, visit to Kanglung Zangtopleri Lhakhang. Then transfer to Trashigang Hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel Trashigang

Day 03. Mongar – Lhuentshi

After breakfast, we will drive to Lhuentshi, the most remotest district in Bhutan. Not many people and tourist have visited this place or district. You will have an opportunity to explore and experience the true living styles of Bhutanese way of life. Visit to Lhuentshi Dzong and then visit to Bhutanese Farm House, where we are going to stay over night here in Bhutanese farmhouse.

After having some introduction to the farmhouse and having some welcome drinks, we will explore the area near our Farmhouse. It will be your wonderful experience once in your lifetime.

Day 04. Lhuentshi Stay

Today we will visit the village of Khoma to experience the weaving of Bhutan. Khoma village is famous for the production of textile in Bhutan – Kushuthara Textile. Today we will learn and see how the natural coloring and dyeing.

Lunch we will have in farmhouse or picnic hot lunch. We can also try and weave practically like Bhutanese girls and women – which will me memory in your lifetime. Dinner and over night at Lhuentshi Bhutanese Farmhouse.

Day 05. Lhuentshi – Trashigang - Radhi

After our early breakfast we will drive to Radhi Trashigang. The drive will take about 5hours. Today we will drive through the leafy forest with ferns and the Korila Pass (2333m). We will also pass through the scattered villages and cornfields and banana groves and the eight zigzags of Yadi.

At Ngatshang, we will visit Ngatshang monastery and learn the way of life in our Bhutanese monks. Lunch at Trashigang and visit Trashigang Dzong. Continue our journey to Radhi village. At Rangjung we will visit to Rangjung Yozer Chholing Monastery. Dinner and overnight stay Radhi guesthouse.

Day 06. Radhi Stay

Explore the Radhi Village and learn the methodology of the weaving the textile in Bhutan. We can also experience the dying and weaving the textile of Bhutan. We will also visit to Khardung Animi Dratshang and learn the lifestyles of nuns life in Bhutan. Dinner and overnight stay at Radhi Guesthouse.

Day 07. Radhi – Pemagatshel

Today we will drive to Pemagatshel – where not many tourists visit this district. We don’t have good hotels here. We may have to put up in local hotel here in Pemagatshel or we will put a camping tent.

Day 08. Pemagatshel – Samdrupjongkhar

Today we will explore and learn the cotton textile in Bhutan. This textile was used widely in olden days. We will see the cotton revitalizing textile program here. Lunch will be served at one of the restaurant in Pemagatshel. Then we will drive to Samdrupjongkhar.

On reaching Samdrup Jongkhar, our guide will completed the immigration formalities for your tomorrow’s departure to Guwahati. In the evening, you will meet the Indian driver, who will take you to Guwahati Airport tomorrow. Your Bhutanese guide and driver will bid you farewell at today’s dinnertime as they will leave to Thimphu very early morning, next day.

Day 09. Samdrup Jongkhar – Guwahati

Choose your traveling date like Arrival/Departure date. You also need to choose entry/depart Bhutan via AIR or LAND.

By Air: Druk Air, the national carriers is the only service operator in the kingdom and operates several flights per week from Bangkok (Thailand), Delhi & Kolkata (India) and Kathmandu (Nepal) to Paro (Bhutan). The Paro International Airport is located about an hour and a half drive from Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan.

Paro airport is daylight restricted, and the flights are totally dependent on the weather. As a result, sometimes flights are delayed. It is therefore a good idea to keep at least 24 hours of transit time for connecting flights out of Paro. You might also want to consider traveling on a non-restricted ticket so that if you miss a connecting flight, you can be rerouted or seated on the first available carrier.

Sometimes flights into Paro are disrupted because of unfavorable weather conditions. If this occurs, the flight will stop for the night at the transit airport. To be prepared, you may want to carry your essential personal items in your carry-on luggage.

By Land: Phuentsholing, a Bhutanese town in the southwest has road access to India. It is located about 170 km from the Indian domestic airport at Bagdogra, West Bengal. Phuentsholing is about 172 km from Thimphu the capital city of Bhutan and is about 6hours drive distance. And S/

Hot stone bath (Dhotsho) is a traditional bath of Bhutan, where a tradition of heating up stones and then soaking in the water that is in turn heated by the stones. DAY 1. BKK/PBH – THIMPHU

The flight into Paro on our national carrier, Druk Air, is a befitting introduction to the spectacular beauty of our country. In clear weather, magnificent views of the world’s highest peaks, give way to the lush green Paro valley as you land. After lunch we will continue our journey to Bumthang. Dinner and over night stay in hotel, Bumthang.

DAY 3. BUMTHANG HALT

Today we will experience the dying and the weaving of textile. Lunch in the hotel. After lunch we will continue with the weaving or sightseeing in Bumthang. Dinner and over night stay in hotel, Bumthang.

DAY 4. BUMTHANG – MONGAR

After our breakfast, we will drive to Mongar, over Thrumshingla pass (3800m). The drive will take about 7hours.On the clear days we will the white summit of the highest peak in Bhutan, Gangkar Puensum at 7545m. Today we will driving through the forest of rhododendron, conifer and the forest of semi-tropical and subtropical.

The Mongar marks the beginning of our eastern Bhutan experience. The towns in eastern Bhutan are built on the sides of the hills, in contrast to western Bhutan where the towns develop on the valley floor. Dinner and over night stay in hotel, Mongar.

DAY 5. MONGAR – LHUENTSHI

Today we will drive to Lhuentshi. The drive will take about 3hours. on reaching Lhuentshi, we have our lunch at our camp. We will drive to Punakha. The drive will take about 6hours and 30minutes. At Trongsa we will visit the magnificent dzong of Bhutan, Trongsa dzong.

Lunch we will have at Chendebji restaurant. After our lunch we will continue our journey. On reaching Wangduephodrang we will visit Wangduephodrang dzong. Dinner and over night stay Punakha.

DAY 9. PUNAKHA – THIMPHU

Toady we will visit Punakha dzong, it was the winter capital of Bhutan until 1955 when the capital was permanently shifted to Thimphu. It still served as the winter resident for the monk body and the Chhimi Lhakhang, which is located at a hilltop. We have to walk almost 25minutes from the road point. The temple is also known as the temple of fertility. Then we will drive to Thimphu.

Lunch at dochula cafeteria. After lunch we will continue our journey to Thimphu.on reaching Thimphu if we have time we can do some sight seeing in Thimphu. Dinner and over night stay in hotel, Thimphu.

DAY 10. THIMPHU – PARO

DAY 11. PARO HALT

After early breakfast, hike to the view point of Taktshang, (Tiger’s Nest) monastery. We have to walk about 1hours & 30minutes up steep from the road end. The trail climbs through beautiful pine forest, many of the trees festooned with Spanish moss, and an occasional grove of fluttering prayer flags. After enjoying the view & photographs, and refreshment at the viewpoint (Taktshang Cafeteria) we will walk back. Lunch will be served in the town.

After lunch we will visit National Museum of Bhutan and Kyichu Lhakhang. Evening stroll around Paro town Dinner will be served in the farm house. Over night stay in the hotel.

DAY 5. BUMTHANG HALT

Today’s day begins with visit to Jambay Lhakhang, which is one of the oldest temples in Bhutan, built in 7th century, Kurjey Lhakhang, is named after the body print of Guru Rinpoche which is preserved in a cave inside the oldest of the three buildings, Tamshing Lhakhang – which was established by Terton Pema Lingpa in 1501 and is the most important Nyingma Goenba in the country. Lunch in the Bumthang hotel.

After lunch we will visit Mebertsho (Burning Lake) – This is a very scared lake for Bhutanese people. Terton Pema Lingpa discovered several of Guru Rinpoche’s hidden religious treasures from this lake. Evening at leisure. Dinner and over night stay at hotel, Bumthang.

DAY 6. BUMTHANG – GANGTAY

After the breakfast, we will drive to Gangtay, Phobjikha. The drive will take about 4hours. At Trongsa, we will visit Trongsa Dzong, Lunch will be at Phobjikha hotel.

After lunch we will walk around the Phobjikha valley, it is a glacial valley and is the winter home of the black necked cranes.This valley is a designated conservation area and borders Black Mountain National Park. Dinner and over night stay at hotel, Phobjikha.

DAY 7. GANGTAY - PUNAKHA

After the breakfast, we will drive to Punakha. The drive will take about 3hours. At Wangdiphodrang we will visit Wangdiphodrang dzong, was founded by the lama Zhamdrung in 1638. Lunch will be served at Punakha.

After lunch we will visit Punakha dzong, it was the winter capital of Bhutan until 1955 when the capital was permanently shifted to Thimphu. It still served as the winter resident for the monk body. Then we will drive to the viewpoint of Khamsum Yule Namgyel chorten. Dinner and over night stay at hotel, Punakha.

DAY 8. PUNAKHA – THIMPHU

After our early breakfast, we will drive to Paro via Dochula pass. At Lobesa we will visit Chhimi Lhakhang, which is located at a hilltop. We have to walk about 25minutes from the road point. This temple is also known as temple of fertility. Lunch will serve at dochula cafeteria.

After lunch we will continue our journey to Thimphu. Evening at leisure. Dinner and over night stay in hotel. Thimphu.

DAY 9. THIMPHU – PARO

After the breakfast, we will drive to Paro. On reaching paro we will hike to the viewpoint of Taktshang, (Tiger’s Nest) monastery. We have to walk about 1hours & 30minutes up steep from the road end. The trail climbs through beautiful pine forest, many of the trees festooned with Spanish moss, and an occasional grove of fluttering prayer flags.

After enjoying the view & photographs and lunch we will walk back. On our way back we will visit the one of the oldest temple in Bhutan, Kyichu Lhakhang and then stroll around the Paro town. Dinner and over night stay in hotel, Paro.

DAY 10. PARO – AIRPORT

Today we will drive to Paro international Airport to catch the flight to your next destination. Our guide and driver will bid you farewell and we wish you a safe and pleasant journey back home and hope to see you again in Bhutan.

Choose your traveling date like Arrival/Departure date. You also need to choose entry/depart Bhutan via AIR or LAND.

By Air: Druk Air, the national carriers is the only service operator in the kingdom and operates several flights per week from Bangkok (Thailand), Delhi & Kolkata (India) and Kathmandu (Nepal) to Paro (Bhutan). The Paro International Airport is located about an hour and a half drive from Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan.

Paro airport is daylight restricted, and the flights are totally dependent on the weather. As a result, sometimes flights are delayed. It is therefore a good idea to keep at least 24 hours of transit time for connecting flights out of Paro. You might also want to consider traveling on a non-restricted ticket so that if you miss a connecting flight, you can be rerouted or seated on the first available carrier.

Sometimes flights into Paro are disrupted because of unfavorable weather conditions. If this occurs, the flight will stop for the night at the transit airport. To be prepared, you may want to carry your essential personal items in your carry-on luggage.

By Land: Phuentsholing, a Bhutanese town in the southwest has road access to India. It is located about 170 km from the Indian domestic airport at Bagdogra, West Bengal. Phuentsholing is about 172 km from Thimphu the capital city of Bhutan and is about 6hours drive distance. And S/

Day 01: BKK-PBH-PARO

The flight into Paro on our national carrier, Druk Air, is a befitting introduction to the spectacular beauty of our country. In clear weather, magnificent views of the world’s highest peaks, give way to the lush green Paro valley as you land. Day 02: PARO - THIMPHU

We will drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Evening stroll around the Thimphu twon. Dinner and overnight stay at Thimphu Hotel.

Day 03: THIMPHU HALT

Today we will do sightseeing Thimphu – visit to National Memorial Chhorten, Weaving Center, Textile Museums, Bhutanese Paper factory and Handicraft emporium. Lunch will be served in one of the restaurant in Thimphu. In the afternoon, we will do the short hike-wangditshe hike. The hike starts from BBS tower and ends at Dechenphodrang, through pine forest.

The hike will take about 1hour 30minutes. From this hike we can see the whole Thimphu town so beautifully. Evening we will visit the Thimphu Tashichhoe Dzong. Dinner and over night stay at Thimphu hotel.

Day 04: THIMPHU – PHOBJIKHA

Drive to Phobjikha over dochula pass (3150m). The pass is adorned with different kinds of prayer flags and 108 small stupas. From this pass, we can see the eastern Himalayan mountains ranges so magnificently on clear days. We will stop at Dochula cafeteria for tea or coffee break. Then we will continue our journey to Phobjikha.

Lunch will be served at Wangdi, Drangon Nest Resort. Continue our journey to Phobjikha. The phobjikha valley is the winter home to the endangered species of birds, Black Neck Crane. On reaching Gangtey, we will visit the Gangtey Goenpa Lhakhag, the temple is the most important temple in Nyingmapa sect. Dinner and over night stay at Phobjikha Hotel.

Day 05: PHOBIJIKHA – BUMTHANG

Drive to Bumthang. The drive will take about 5hours. At Trongsa, we will visit the ‘Tower of Trongsa’. Lunch will be served at Tower of Trongsa’s Cafteria. Then we will continue our journey to Bumthang over Yontongla pass.

At Chhumey we will stop to see the Yathra textile production. Yathra is woolen textile. Dinner and over night stay at Bumthang Hotel.

Day 06: BUMTHANG HALT

Today after our breakfast, we will drive back to Chhumey to see the demonstration of how the woolen textiles are produced, dyed and colored. Lunch will be served at Bumthang Hotel. After our lunch, we will visit to Jambay Lhakhang, the oldest monastery in Bhutan, Kurjey Lhakhang and Tamshing Lhakhang.

After this, we will visit the Farm House for Bhutanese Dinner, local alcohol and hot stone bath. Over night stay at Bumthang Hotel.

Day 07: BUMTHANG – LHUENTSHI

Drive to Lhuentshi will take about 6 hours 30minutes. Lunch will be served picnic pack lunch. On the way will stop at certain places for taking photographs. You will enjoy by the scenic beauty of eastern Bhutan.Lhuentshi, specially Khoma Village is famous for Kushuthara textile production.

Kushuthara is the most prestigious kira for every woman in Bhutan. Kushuthara have a white filed pattern with dozens of different distinctive motifs, shaped like diamond or half diamonds at the edges of the field Dinner and over night stay at Camp at Lhuentshi.

Day 08. LHUENTSHI HALT

We will drive to Trashigang. The drive will be about 6hours. Lunch will be served at Mongar. Onn reaching Trashigang, we will stroll around the small Trashigang town and then we will drive to Rangjung for dinner and over night stay in the hotel.

Day 10. TRASHIGANG – RADHI VILLAGE (Day Excursion)

Today we will visit the Radhi Village and see the raw silk textile and also the dying and coloring of raw silk. Lunch will be picnic lunch. Towards the late afternoon, we will drive back to hotel for dinner and over night stay. (Here we can also camp if our guest would like to stay in the camp).

Day 11. TRASHIGANG – KHALING (Day Excursion)

Today we will make day excursion to Khaling Handloom Development center. Develop designs and color combination; to uphold age old tradition of weaving and vegetable dyeing process. Lunch will be picnic lunch. Dinner and over night stay in Hotel or Camp.

From this pass, we can see the Himalayan Ranges so beautifully on clear days.Lunch will be served at Thimphu. Contin Restaurant at Chuniding Resort or Similar Restaurant. Then we will continue our journey to Wangdi.

Day 02: Wangdi –Trongsa

Today after our early breakfast, we will drive to Trongsa. The drive will be about 6 hours. Lunch will be served at Trongsa Chendebji Resturant. On reaching Trongsa, we will visit the ‘Tower of Trongsa’,Tea or coffee at Trower of Trongsa’s café’ Dinner and over night stay at Trongsa Hotel, Yangkhill Resort or Similar Standard.

Day 03. Trongsa – Ritola - Nimshong

After our breakfast, we will drive to Ritola, where our trek starts. During our drive there is chances of seeing the golden Languare and some other wild animals and birds. Starts our trek from Ritola. .En route we can see deers, macaques, Mangde valley and river, chorten and village. Over night camp at Nimshong village.

 Accommodation: Camping  Altitude: 1319m  Ascent: 480m.  Descent: Time: 3-4 hours.

Day 04. Nimshong – Nabji

Visit local temple, we will trekking through the broadleaf forest, with possible sightings of Golden Langur and Rufous-necked Hornbill. We also terraced fields of rice. The Temple of Nabji –which means ‘promising’ or ‘oath’-harbors the stone pillar to mark the peace between Bumthang and Assam Kings. In the village you can find rock remains of a blacksmith (one of the reincarnations of Pema Lingpa). Overnight at campsite surrounded by the rice fields of Nabji.

 Accommodation: Camping  Altitude: 1300m  Distance: 13 km.  Ascent: Descent: Time: 5-6 hours.

Day 05 Halt at Nabji

We will day hike to Korphu (1636m). The hike will take about 4hours. We will visit Korphu temple- which houses the sacred relics of Pema Lingpa. We can see the farmer’s life and their houses. Evening at leisure. Dinner and over night stay at Nabji.

Day 06 Nabji – Kubdra

Todauy we will trek though the dense forest, big tree with clippers, orchid and small bamboos. We will come across an ethnic group-Monpa. Over night camp near their village. They are very happy to welcome us to the camp.

 Accommodation: Camping  Altitude: 1636m.  Distance: 15km  Time: 5-6hours

Day 07 Kubdra – Jangbi village

The traces of Guru Rimpoche can be found along the way (foot print, dragger and hat), temple and orchid garden. Over. We will find more information on the Monpas and their Cane and Bamboo Project. Over night camp at Jangbi village

 Accommodation: Camping  Altitude: 1368m  Distance: 15km  Time: 5-6hours

Day 08.Jangbi – Tongtongfey-Trongsa. Trek Ends today.

Today we have to trek just about 4hours till Tongtongfey where our driver and car will wait form us to take to Trongsa. We will say goodbye to our trekking staff at Tonngtongfey. If time permits, you can visit the Kuenga Rabten Palace on the way back to Trongsa. Overnight in Trongsa hotel. Yangkhill Resort or similar standard.

 Accommodation: Camping  Altitude: 1061m  Distance: 10km  Time: 3-4hours

Day 09. Trongsa- Thimphu

Drive to Thimphu. Luch at Punakha.Visit the Punakha Dzong-the most beautiful dzong in Bhutan. And we can also see the Jarkarlanda flower in bloom. Dinner and over night stay at Thimphu Hotel: Peaceful Resort or similar standard.

Day 10. Limithang – Laya

Today, we will walk downhill all the way along a narrow, winding river valley. After a long time, the trail takes us through densely forested region. The trail leads to the west side of Laya village. From the west of the village we will have spectacular views of Mt. Gangchhenta and catch Mt. Masagang. In the village center is a community school and a basic health unit with a telephone connection. The campsite is located below the school.

 Accommodation: Camping  Camp Site: Laya village  Altitude: 3840m.  Distance: 10 km.  Ascent: 60m.  Descent: 340m.  Time: 4-5hrs.

Day 11. Thimphu – Paro

After our breakfast, we will do some sightseeing in Thimphu like visit to Memorial Chhorten, Buudha Point, Changangkha Lhakhang, BBS tower, Mothithang Mini zoo to see the National animal of Bhutan (Takin) Stroll around the Thimphu town for about 45 minutes to buy the authentic souvenir from Bhutan. Drive to Paro for lunch. Eveing stroll around the Paro town. Dinner and over night stay at Paro Hotel.

Day 12. Paro Stay

Toady we will make a hike to Paro Taktshang Monastery, the most famous and scared monastery in Buddhism world. Taksang means “TigerNest” named after Guru Rinpoche reportedly flew to this site riding on the back of a flying tigress late in the 9th century. We have to walk about 2hours up steep from the road end. The trail climbs through beautiful pine forest, many of the trees festooned with Spanish moss, and an occasional grove of fluttering prayer flags. Lunch will be served at Taktshang cafeteria.

On our way back, drive to the village of Drukgyel and visit the ruins of Drukgyel Dzong, built in 1649 to commemorate the victory over Tibetan invasion and Kyichu Lhakhang, it is one of the two most sacred and the oldest temples in Bhutan, built in 7th century by Tibetan king Songtsen Gampo (the 33rd Tibetan king, who is also the manifestation of avoloketeshivara, commonly known to Bhutanese as Chenrize).

1. When and how to visit Bhutan?

Choose your traveling date like Arrival/Departure date. You also need to choose entry/depart Bhutan via AIR or LAND.

By Air: Druk Air, the national carriers is the only service operator in the kingdom and operates several flights per week from Bangkok (Thailand), Delhi & Kolkata (India) and Kathmandu (Nepal) to Paro (Bhutan). The Paro International Airport is located about an hour and a half drive from Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan.

Paro airport is daylight restricted, and the flights are totally dependent on the weather. As a result, sometimes flights are delayed. It is therefore a good idea to keep at least 24 hours of transit time for connecting flights out of Paro. You might also want to consider traveling on a non-restricted ticket so that if you miss a connecting flight, you can be rerouted or seated on the first available carrier.

Sometimes flights into Paro are disrupted because of unfavorable weather conditions. If this occurs, the flight will stop for the night at the transit airport. To be prepared, you may want to carry your essential personal items in your carry-on luggage.

By Land: Phuentsholing, a Bhutanese town in the southwest has road access to India. It is located about 170 km from the Indian domestic airport at Bagdogra, West Bengal. Phuentsholing is about 172 km from Thimphu the capital city of Bhutan and is about 6hours drive distance. And S/

For most tours the booking must be completed 8 weeks in advance, but during the festivals booking must be completed at least 12 weeks in advance. Especially during the festivals, it can be very difficult to get the accommodation and flight seats without advance bookings, as it is a peak season for the tourist visiting Bhutan.

Hot stone bath (Dhotsho) is a traditional bath of Bhutan, where a tradition of heating up stones and then soaking in the water that is in turn heated by the stones. This is also a curative method and is used throughout the country We Bhutanese belief that this bath has so much of medicinal benefits. Some diseases are curable-like joint pains, hypertension, stomach disorder, arthritis and many other minor diseases. Especially for the old age, where we have lots of body pains, joints pains helps a lot by this Hot Stone Bath (Dhotsho).

I think, the minerals in the rocks have certain chemicals, which can cure certain disease of our body. Hot stone bath has no side effects. It is in its pure natural form. We can organize the hot stone bath during your stay in Bhutan.

Folk Performing Arts & Music in the Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan
We have Cultural Program Performing groups, which they will perform like Traditional folk songs, dances and keeps original tunes and dances alive. Moreover, new choreography for some traditional and regional songs is sometimes developed.

The troupe also performs mask dances that have historical and spiritual significance.

The program will be about 1hr program and the cost will be USD 100/program. Usually we organize this in the evening before your dinner. But any time of the day can be organized.

Tiger’s Nest is most visited spot in Bhutan and it is much awaited by every tourist who visits Bhutan to climb to Tiger’s Nest.

It takes about 2 hrs 30mins up steep climb through the forest of pine, oak and Rhododendron. However you can ride the horse and climb till the Taktshang cafeteria.

The price will be approximately USD 12-15. So we can arrange the horses and let us know.
