Day 01. Arrive to Paro – Paro Stay

On arrival at Paro International Airport, the representative from Authentic Bhutan Tours will warmly welcome & greet you. Then we will drive to Paro town for lunch. After lunch we will visit to Paro National Museum and Paron Dzong. Then we can drive along the Paro river to see which place is good for tomorrow’s fishing. Stroll around Paro town. Dinner and over night stay at Paro Hotel.

Day 02. Paro - Haa

We will do fishing  in Paro until lunch time. After lunch we will drive to Haa over Chelela Pass. The pass is the highest pass in Bhutan, where car can take us. On reaching Haa, we will visit Haa Lhakhang Karpo and Lhkhang Nagpo . Evening stroll around  the Haa town. Dinner and over night stay at Haa Hotel.

Day 03. Haa - Thimphu

Today we will do Fishing in Haa River until lunchtime. After lunch we will drive to Thimphu. Evening stroll around Thimphu town. Dinner and overnight stay at Thimphu hotel.

Day 04. Thimphu Stay

Sightseeing in Thimphu like visit to  Memorial Chorten, built in 1974 in memory of third king Jigme Dorji Wangchuk and the temple inside gives good examples of tantric Buddhist and its philosophy. Mothithang mini-zoo, to see the National Animal of Bhutan (Takin). The Takin (Budorcas Taxicolor) which is the National Animal of Bhutan is attributed to a legend of the animal’s creation in Bhutan in the 15th century by Lama Drukpa Kunley. BBS tower, Nunnery – the Thangtong Dewachen nunnery was founded in 1976 by Rikey Jadrel and today it houses the sixty nuns engaged in Buddhist study and practices. Folk Heritage Museum, this Folk Heritage Museum is a showcase, the 19-century farmhouse and the living style of the Bhutanese family. Lunch will be served at Thimphu restaurant. After lunch we will visit to tallest Buddha Statue in the world. Then we will start the hike. The hiking is more or less very easy and plain walk through the forest of Pine, Rhododendron and Oak trees. The hike will take about 1-hour 30 mins. We can see Thimphu city, Thimphu River (Wangchhu) and other adjacent towns through this hike. We can also take some fluttering prayer flags (Lungta) and hang them between two to three trees that will bring fortune, happiness and good health to every one in this world including your enemy. Evening visit Tashi Chho Dzong, seat of the national government and the Central Monastic Body, including the summer residence of the Je Khenpo (Chief Abbot of Bhutan) and stroll around Thimphu town. Dinner and overnight stay at Thimphu Hoel.

Day 05. Thimphu Stay

Whole day Fishing in Thimphu River.

Day 06. Thimphu - Punakha

After our breakfast, we will drive to Punakha/Wangdi. The road climbs steeply through forests of pine, hemlock spruce and rhododendrons. At Dochula Pass (3150m) you will have a breathtaking panoramic view of the Eastern Himalayan Mountain ranges. The pass is adorned with 108 small stupas and many kinds of prayer flags. Then the road descends through lush forests to the fertile valley of Punakha & Wangdi Phodrang. On reaching Lobesa, we will visit Chhimi Lhakhang, which is located at a hilltop. The temple is known as ‘the temple of fertility’. At Punakha, visit the most beautiful dzongs in Bhutan, Punakha Dzong. Lunch will be served at Punakha. Then we will drive back to Thimphu. Evening we will visit to Bhutanese Farmhouse for overnight stay and hot stone bath with local drinks.

Day 07. Thimphu - Paro

We will drive to Paro and hike to Paro Taktshang Monastery , the most famous and scared monastery in Buddhism world. Taksang means “Tiger’s Nest” named after Guru Rinpoche who reportedly flew to this site riding on the back of a flying tigress late in the 9th century. We have to walk about 2hours up steep from the road end. The trail climbs through beautiful pine forest, many of the trees festooned with Spanish moss, and an occasional grove of fluttering prayer flags. Lunch will be served at Taktshang cafeteria. On our way back, drive to the village of Drukgyel and visit the ruins of Drukgyel Dzong, built in 1649 to commemorate the victory over Tibetan invasion and Kyichu Lhakhang, it is one of the two most sacred and the oldest temples in Bhutan, built in 7th century by Tibetan king Songtsen Gampo (the 33rd Tibetan king, who is also the manifestation of avoloketeshivara, commonly known to Bhutanese as Chenrize). Evening stroll around the Paro valley town, the valley of surpassing Beauty. Dinner and over night stay at Paro Hotel.

Day 08. Paro - Paro International Airport (Departure)

After our breakfast, we will drive to Paro International Airport for your onward flight. Our guide and driver will bid you farewell here at the airport. We wish you a very safe and pleasant flight for your onward destinations.

1. When and how to visit Bhutan?

Choose your traveling date like Arrival/Departure date. You also need to choose entry/depart Bhutan via AIR or LAND.

By Air: Druk Air, the national carriers is the only service operator in the kingdom and operates several flights per week from Bangkok (Thailand), Delhi & Kolkata (India) and Kathmandu (Nepal) to Paro (Bhutan). The Paro International Airport is located about an hour and a half drive from Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan.

Paro airport is daylight restricted, and the flights are totally dependent on the weather. As a result, sometimes flights are delayed. It is therefore a good idea to keep at least 24 hours of transit time for connecting flights out of Paro. You might also want to consider traveling on a non-restricted ticket so that if you miss a connecting flight, you can be rerouted or seated on the first available carrier.

Sometimes flights into Paro are disrupted because of unfavorable weather conditions. If this occurs, the flight will stop for the night at the transit airport. To be prepared, you may want to carry your essential personal items in your carry-on luggage.

By Land: Phuentsholing, a Bhutanese town in the southwest has road access to India. It is located about 170 km from the Indian domestic airport at Bagdogra, West Bengal. Phuentsholing is about 172 km from Thimphu the capital city of Bhutan and is about 6hours drive distance. And S/

For most tours the booking must be completed 8 weeks in advance, but during the festivals booking must be completed at least 12 weeks in advance. Hot stone bath (Dhotsho) is a traditional bath of Bhutan, where a tradition of heating up stones and then soaking in the water that is in turn heated by the stones. This is also a curative method and is used throughout the country We Bhutanese belief that this bath has so much of medicinal benefits. Some diseases are curable-like joint pains, hypertension, stomach disorder, arthritis and many other minor diseases. Especially for the old age, where we have lots of body pains, joints pains helps a lot by this Hot Stone Bath (Dhotsho).

Folk Performing Arts & Music in the Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan
We have Cultural Program Performing groups, which they will perform like Traditional folk songs, dances and keeps original tunes and dances alive. Moreover, new choreography for some traditional and regional songs is sometimes developed.

The troupe also performs mask dances that have historical and spiritual significance.

The program will be about 1hr program and the cost will be USD 100/program. Usually we organize this in the evening before your dinner. But any time of the day can be organized.

Tiger’s Nest is most visited spot in Bhutan and it is much awaited by every tourist who visits Bhutan to climb to Tiger’s Nest.

It takes about 2 hrs 30mins up steep climb through the forest of pine, oak and Rhododendron. However you can ride the horse and climb till the Taktshang cafeteria.

Day 01. Arrive to Paro – Transfer to Thimphu

The flight into Paro is a befitting introduction to the spectacular beauty of our country. In clear weather, magnificent views of the world’s highest peaks like Gangkar Puensum, give way to the lush green Paro valley as you land. Lunch will be served at Thimphu. After lunch we will visit to Memorial Chhorten – built in 1974 in the memory of third king late Jigme Dorji Wangchuk, and the temple inside gives good examples of tantric Buddhist and its philosophy and then we will visit to Big Buddha Statue – this gigantic statue of Shakyamuni measures in at a height of 51.5 meters, making it one of the largest statues of Buddha in the world. Day 02. Thimphu Stay

After enjoying the breakfast at hotel, we will do sightseeing in Thimphu City.. Visit to Post office, to make your own stamp and send to your loved ones.. Traditional Bhutanese Paper– to see the traditional methods to produce the authentic Bhutanese Paper known as Deh-sho), Weaving center, you will see here our young girls and women weaving so interestingly. Lunch will be served at one of the Restaurant at Thimphu.

After lunch, we will continue with our sightseeing and visit to Drupthop Dewachen Nunnery, this nunnery was founded in 1976 by Rikey Jadrel, who is considered an emanation of Thangtong Gyalpo and then Takin zoo, to see the national animal of Bhutan. Evening visit to Trachichho Dzong, it is an architectural delight and houses the throne room, and the office of His Majesty the king and the ministries of home affairs and finance. Then stroll and explore around Thimphu town and do some shopping in Bhutan.

Dinner and over night stay at one of the hotel in Thimphu.

Day 03. Thimphu - Punakha

Day 04. Punalkha - Bumthang

After breakfast at hotel, we will drive to Bumthang over Pelela Pass and Yontongla pass. Lunch will be served on the way. At Chendebiji, we will stop to see the Chendebji Chhorten – The Chorten is patterned after Swayambhunath in Kathmandu and was built in the 19th century by Lama Sidha, from Tibet, to cover the remains of an evil spirit that was killed at this spot. On reaching Trongsa, visit to the Tower of Trongsa, Religion and Power in Bhutan. The Tower of Trongsa is a museum in which aspects of Bhutanese culture and history are explained by beautifully objects, while for others it is as scared place of encounter with the gods. Then continue the journey to Bumthang through the hairpin bends with the dense forest of rhododendron, conifers, alder and oak crossing Yotong La, 3425m. The road then comes out into a wide-open cultivated valley – which is the Chumey Valley, the first of Bumthnag’s four valleys. From here the road goes on straight until we see Jakar Dzong and then drops into bends before straightening out again in the main valley at Chamkhar. The drive will take about 2hours and 30minutes.Dinner and overnight stay at  Bumthang Bhutanese Farmhouse.

Day 05. Bumthang Stay

Today we will do sightseeing in the Bumthang city – visit to Kurjey Lhakhang, is named after the body print of Guru Rinpoche which is preserved in a cave inside the oldest of the three buildings, Tamshing Lhakhang – which was established by Terton Pema Lingpa in 1501 and is the most important Nyingma Goenba in the country.  Then we will drive to Tang Valley and visit to Mebar Tsho (Burning lake). Then lunch will be served at Farmhouse or we will take hot picnic lunch. We will visit to Jambay Lhakhang, which is one of the oldest temples in Bhutan, built in 7th century. Then we will go to farmhouse for dinner and overnight stay. Today after dinner we will enjoy with the Traditional Hot-stone bath.

Day 06. Bumthang - Phobjikha

Today after the breakfast at hotel or Farmhouse (if stay at farmhouse) we will drive to off beaten track of Phobjikha Valley. It is a glacial valley and is the winter home of the black-necked cranes. This valley is a designated conservation area and borders Black Mountain National Park. Lunch will be served on the way. On reaching Gangtey, visit to Gantey Goenpa Lhakhang, the most important temple in Nyingmapa sect of Buddhism in Bhutan. After this we will go Gangtey Natural Trail hike. This hike is one of the easiest hike in Bhutan through pine forest and open meadow. It offers panoramic and stunning view of the valley. Dinner and overnight stay at Phobjikha Valey Hotel.

Day 07. Phobjikha - Paro

After the breakfast at hotel, drive back to Paro. The road descents to Wangdi Valey and the road climbs steeply through forests of pine, hemlock spruce and rhododendrons. At Dochula Pass (3150m) you will have a breathtaking panoramic view of the Eastern Himalayan Mountain ranges on clear days. The pass is adorned with 108 small stupas and many kinds of prayer flags. Lunch will be served at Dochula Café or on the way. Continue the journey to Paro. On the way we will visit to Tachho Gang Lhakhang crossing over the iron chain bridge. On reaching Paro, we will stroll around Paro town, for some shopping. Dinner and overnight stay at Paro Hotel.

Day 08. Paro Stay

After the breakfast we will drive till the Ramthangka, where the hike to one of the Bhutan’s most dramatic monuments, the Tiger’s Nest (Taktshang Monaster). We will use pony till the Taktshang cafeteria. From cafeteria, we have to hike up to monastery about 1hr 30minutes. Even from the cafeteria, we can see the spectacular views of this most scared monastery in the Buddhism world. Some of you, if you cannot hike from cafeteria, we can sit and enjoy the view of the monastery, which is perched on the rocks, 900m above the valley floor. Our lunch will be served here at cafeteria. On our way back to hotel, we will visit to Kyichu Lhakhang, it is one of the two most sacred and the oldest temples in Bhutan, built in 7th century by Tibetan king Songtsen Gampo (the 33rd Tibetan king, who is also the manifestation of avoloketeshivara, commonly known to Bhutanese as Chenrize). Day 01. Arrive to Paro – Transfer to Haa

The flight into Paro is a befitting introduction to the spectacular beauty of our country. In clear weather, magnificent views of the world’s highest peaks like Gangkar Puensum, give way to the lush green Paro valley as you land. Lunch will be served at Thimphu and then we will drive to Haa valley – the valley remains one of the least visited areas in the country and retains the air of an unspoiled, primeval forest. The drive will be over Chelela Pass – the highest pass during you stay in Bhutan where car can tae us.

Day 02. Drive to Thimphu

After our breakfast at camp, we will drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. The drive will take about 2hrs 30mins along a river valley, past small villages and traditional farmhouses, through peaceful countryside. It’s a small & charming capital city located in the heart of the Himalayas . Lunch will be served at Thimphu restaurant. After lunch we will visit to Memorial Chhorten – built in 1974 in the memory of third king late Jigme Dorji Wangchuk, and the temple inside gives good examples of tantric Buddhist and its philosophy and then we will visit to Big Buddha Statue – this gigantic statue of Shakyamuni measures in at a height of 51.5 meters, making it one of the largest statues of Buddha in the world and then visit Tashi Chho Dzong, seat of the National Government and the Central Monastic Body, including the summer residence of the Je Khenpo (Chief Abbot of Bhutan). Evening stroll around Thimphu town. Dinner and overnight stay in the hotel, Thimphu.

Day 03. Thimphu Stay

After enjoying the breakfast at hotel, we will do sightseeing in Thimphu City.. Visit to Post office, to make your own stamp and send to your loved ones.. Traditional Bhutanese Paper- to see the traditional methods to produce the authentic Bhutanese Paper known as Deh-sho), Weaving center, you will see here our young girls and women weaving so interestingly. Lunch will be served at one of the Restaurant at Thimphu.

After lunch, we will continue with our sightseeing and visit to Drupthop Dewachen Nunnery, this nunnery was founded in 1976 by Rikey Jadrel, who is considered an emanation of Thangtong Gyalpo and then Takin zoo, to see the national animal of Bhutan. Day 04. Thimphu - Punalkha

After our breakfast, we will drive to Punakha/Wangdi. The road climbs steeply through forests of pine, hemlock spruce and rhododendrons. At Dochula Pass (3150m) you will have a breathtaking panoramic view of the Eastern Himalayan Mountain ranges on clear days. The pass is adorned with 108 small stupas and many kinds of prayer flags. Then the road descends through lush forests to the fertile valley of Punakha & Wangdi Phodrang. On reaching Lobesa, we will visit Chhimi Lhakhang, which is located at a hilltop. The temple is known as ‘the temple of fertility’. Lunch will be served here at Lobesa, one of the restaurants. At Punakha, visit the most beautiful dzongs in Bhutan, Punakha Dzong. After this, we will drive till the view point of Khamsum Yule Namgyle Chhorten, passing the beautiful rural landscape. Dinner and overnight stay at Punakha Camp.

Day 05. Punakha – Phobjikha

Drive to Phibjikha Valley. It is a glacial valley and is the winter home of the black necked cranes. On reaching Gangtey, we will visit to Gangtey Goenpa monastery -the most important temple in Nyingmapa sect of Buddhism in Bhutan. After this we will go Gangtey Natural Trail hike. This hike is one of the easiest hike in Bhutan through pine forest and open meadow. It offers panoramic and stunning view of the valley. Lunch will be served at the camp. After lunch enjoy and relax with pristine environment and undiscovered villages. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

Day 06. Phobjikha - Paro

After the breakfast at hotel, drive back to Paro. The road descents to Wangdi Valey and the road climbs steeply through forests of pine, hemlock spruce and rhododendrons. At Dochula Pass (3150m) you will have a breathtaking panoramic view of the Eastern Himalayan Mountain ranges on clear days. The pass is adorned with 108 small stupas and many kinds of prayer flags. Lunch will be served at Dochula Café or on the way. Continue the journey to Paro. On the way we will visit to Tachho Gang Lhakhang crossing over the iron chain bridge. On reaching Paro, we will stroll around Paro town, for some shopping. Dinner and overnight stay at Paro Hotel.

Day 07. Paro Stay.

After the breakfast we will drive till the Ramthangka, where the hike to one of the Bhutan’s most dramatic monuments, the Tiger’s Nest (Taktshang Monaster). We will use pony till the Taktshang cafeteria. From cafeteria, we have to hike up to monastery about 1hr 30minutes. Even from the cafeteria, we can see the spectacular views of this most scared monastery in the Buddhism world. Some of you, if you cannot hike from cafeteria, we can sit and enjoy the view of the monastery, which is perched on the rocks, 900m above the valley floor. Our lunch will be served here at cafeteria. On our way back to hotel, we will visit to Kyichu Lhakhang, it is one of the two most sacred and the oldest temples in Bhutan, built in 7th century by Tibetan king Songtsen Gampo (the 33rd Tibetan king, who is also the manifestation of avoloketeshivara, commonly known to Bhutanese as Chenrize). Evening stroll around the Paro vally, the valley of surpassing Beauty.

Choose your traveling date like Arrival/Departure date. You also need to choose entry/depart Bhutan via AIR or LAND.

By Air: Druk Air, the national carriers is the only service operator in the kingdom and operates several flights per week from Bangkok (Thailand), Delhi & Kolkata (India) and Kathmandu (Nepal) to Paro (Bhutan). The Paro International Airport is located about an hour and a half drive from Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan.

Paro airport is daylight restricted, and the flights are totally dependent on the weather. As a result, sometimes flights are delayed. It is therefore a good idea to keep at least 24 hours of transit time for connecting flights out of Paro. You might also want to consider traveling on a non-restricted ticket so that if you miss a connecting flight, you can be rerouted or seated on the first available carrier.

Sometimes flights into Paro are disrupted because of unfavorable weather conditions. If this occurs, the flight will stop for the night at the transit airport. To be prepared, you may want to carry your essential personal items in your carry-on luggage.

By Land: Phuentsholing, a Bhutanese town in the southwest has road access to India. It is located about 170 km from the Indian domestic airport at Bagdogra, West Bengal. Phuentsholing is about 172 km from Thimphu the capital city of Bhutan and is about 6hours drive distance. And S/

Day 4. Thimphu – Phobjikha

From this pass, we can see the eastern Himalayan mountains ranges so magnificently on clear days. We will stop at Dochula cafeteria for tea or coffee break. Then we will continue our journey to Phobjikha. Lunch will be served at Wangdi, Drangon Nest Resort. Continue our journey to Phobjikha. The phobjikha valley is the winter home to the endangered species of birds, Black Neck Crane. Day 5. Phobjikha – Bumthang

Drive to Bumthang. The drive will take about 5hours. At Trongsa, we will visit the ‘Tower of Trongsa’. Lunch will be served at Tower of Trongsa’s Cafteria. Then we will continue our journey to Bumthang over Yontongla pass. At Chhumey we will stop to see the Yathra textile production. Yathra is woolen textile. Dinner and over night stay at Bumthang

Day 6. Bumthang Halt

Today after our breakfast, we will drive back to Chhumey to see the demonstration of how the woolen textiles are produced, dyed and colored. Lunch will be served at Bumthang Hotel. After our lunch, we will visit to Jambay Lhakhang, the oldest monastery in Bhutan, Kurjey Lhakhang and Tamshing Lhakhang. After this, we will visit the Farm House for Bhutanese Dinner, local alcohol and hot stone bath. Over night stay at Bumthang Hotel. Wangduechholing Hotel.

Day 7. Bumthang – Lhuentshi

Drive to Lhuentshi will take about 6 hours 30minutes. Lunch will be served picnic pack lunch. On the way will stop at certain places for taking photographs. You will enjoy by the scenic beauty of eastern Bhutan.Lhuentshi, especially Khoma Village is famous for Kushuthara textile production. Kushuthara is the most prestigious kira for every woman in Bhutan. Kushuthara have a white-filed pattern with dozens of different distinctive motifs, shaped like diamond or half diamonds at the edges of the field. Dinner and over night stay at Camp at Lhuentshi.

Day 8. Lhuentshi Halt

Today whole day we will experience the dying and the weaving of textile. Dinner and over night stay in camp, Lhuentshi.

Day 9. Lhuentshi – Trashigang

We will drive to Trashigang. The drive will be about 6hours. Lunch will be served at Mongar. Onn reaching Trashigang, we will stroll around the small Trashigang town and then we will drive to Rangjung for dinner and over night stay in the hotel.

Day 10. Trashigang – Radhi Village (Day Excursion)

Today we will visit the Radhi Village and see the raw silk textile and also the dying and coloring of raw silk. Lunch will be picnic lunch. Towards the late afternoon, we will drive back to hotel for dinner and over night stay. (Here we can also camp if our guest would like to stay in the camp).

Day 11. Trashigang – Khaling (Day Excursion)

Today we will make day excursion to Khaling Handloom Development center. Here will have an opportunity to see how the handloom is playing an important in promoting the weaving activities in the Kingdom. To promote the age-old tradition of weaving. Develop designs and color combination; to uphold age-old tradition of weaving and vegetable dyeing process. Lunch will be picnic lunch. Dinner and over night stay in Hotel or Camp.

Day 12. Trashigang – Bumthang

Today will have a long drive from Trashigang to Bumthang. The drive will takem about 7hours 30 minutes.Lunch will be picnic pack lunch. Dinner and over night stay in Bumthang Hotel.

Day 13. Bumthang – Punakha

Drive to Punakha. On reaching Trongsa, visit the Trongsa Dzong. Lunch will be served at Chendebji Resturant. Continue our journey to Punakha. Dinner and over night stay at Hotel Damchen Resort or Zangtopleri.

Day 14. Punakha – Paro

Today we will visit the most beautiful dzong in Bhutan (Punakha Dzong) at Lobesa, we will hike to Chhimi Lhakhang, the temple of fertility. It takes about 2 hrs 30mins up steep climb through the forest of pine, oak and Rhododendron. However you can ride the horse and climb till the Taktshang cafeteria.

DAY 01. BKK/PBH – PARO

The flight into Paro on our national carrier, Druk Air, is a befitting introduction to the spectacular beauty of our country. In clear weather, magnificent views of the world’s highest peaks, give way to the lush green Paro valley as you land. Lunch in the town. After lunch we will visit Paro Rimpung Dzong, the centre of civil and religious authority in this region

DAY 02. PARO – PUNAKHA

Today we will drive to Punakha over Dochula pass. The drive will take about 5hours. From Dochula pass, we can see the eastern Himalayas mountain ranges on clear days.
Lunch at Dochula cafeteria. First we will drive to Wangdue Phodrang and visit the Wangdue dzong. On reaching Lobesa, we will hike to Chhimi Lhakhang, which is located at a hilltop. We have to walk about 25minute from the road point. The temple is also known as the temple of fertility.
Dinner and over night stay in hotel, Punakha.

DAY 03. PUNAKHA – THIMPHU

In the morning we will hike to Khamsum Yule Namgyel Chorten. We have to walk about 45minutes up steep. Then we will visit Punakha dzong, it was the winter capital of Bhutan until 1955 when the capital was permanently shifted to Thimphu. It still served as the winter resident for the monk body and drive to Thimphu.

DAY 04. THIMPHU HALT

Enjoy by witnessing the Thimphu Festival.

DAY 06. THIMPHU – PARO

After the breakfast, we will drive to Paro. On reaching Paro we will hike to the viewpoint of Taktshang, (Tiger’s Nest) monastery. We have to walk about 1hours & 30minutes up steep from the road end. The trail climbs through beautiful pine forest, many of the trees festooned with Spanish moss, and an occasional grove of fluttering prayer flags. After enjoying the view & photographs and lunch we will walk back. On our way back we will visit the one of the oldest temple in Bhutan, Kyichu Lhakhang and then stroll around the Paro town.

DAY 07. PARO – AIRPORT

Today we will drive to Paro international Airport to catch the flight to your next destination. Our guide and driver will bid you farewell and we wish you a safe and pleasant journey back home and hope to see you again in Bhutan.

1. When and how to visit Bhutan?

Choose your traveling date like Arrival/Departure date. You also need to choose entry/depart Bhutan via AIR or LAND.

By Air: Druk Air, the national carriers is the only service operator in the kingdom and operates several flights per week from Bangkok (Thailand), Delhi & Kolkata (India) and Kathmandu (Nepal) to Paro (Bhutan). The Paro International Airport is located about an hour and a half drive from Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan.

Paro airport is daylight restricted, and the flights are totally dependent on the weather. As a result, sometimes flights are delayed. It is therefore a good idea to keep at least 24 hours of transit time for connecting flights out of Paro. You might also want to consider traveling on a non-restricted ticket so that if you miss a connecting flight, you can be rerouted or seated on the first available carrier.

Sometimes flights into Paro are disrupted because of unfavorable weather conditions. If this occurs, the flight will stop for the night at the transit airport. To be prepared, you may want to carry your essential personal items in your carry-on luggage.

By Land: Phuentsholing, a Bhutanese town in the southwest has road access to India. It is located about 170 km from the Indian domestic airport at Bagdogra, West Bengal. Phuentsholing is about 172 km from Thimphu the capital city of Bhutan and is about 6hours drive distance. And S/

For most tours the booking must be completed 8 weeks in advance, but during the festivals booking must be completed at least 12 weeks in advance. Hot stone bath (Dhotsho) is a traditional bath of Bhutan, where a tradition of heating up stones and then soaking in the water that is in turn heated by the stones.
