The two hills on the opposite end of the temple appearing like knees are believed to be her knees. Lam Drukpa Kuenley’s arrow of destiny landed on the eleven-stepped wooden ladder of Toeb Chandana House. Lam shot the arrow from Tibet after the spiritual deity Palden Lhamo appeared in his dreams and instructed him to seek his destiny in the south. Lama Drukpa Kuenley journeyed to Bhutan in the 16th century and found his way to the village and the house. Dressed like a hunting beggar, Lama started courting Pelzang Bhuti, wife of Toep Tshewang. In his jealous rage, Toep Tshewang drew a sword at Lama Drukpa Kuenley but Lama miraculously knotted the sword. It is the best opportunity to enjoy yourself with local people who will be in their best outfits. So be a piece of this festive event and appreciate local delicacies specially made during this festival, have blessings from sacred functions, or outfit yourself in Bhutanese clothing and feel the soul in it.

Our tours during festivals in Bhutan are the most effective way to recognize the old living culture of the country. The Tshechu is a Buddhist festival held to pay tribute to Guru Rinpoche, the Lotus-born Indian priest who founded Buddhism in Bhutan. Numerous Tshechus have the mention all the way back to the fifth-century pre-historic era. Holy ceremonies, folk tunes, and dances make the celebration so exceptional and unbelievable, like no place else on the planet. The well-known Paro Tsechu is eminent for its selective unfurling of the sacred and greatest Thangka to the general population at the end of the Paro celebration for blessings.
